Moving from RSS.com

Set up the feed redirect that sends your RSS.com listeners to Pod Promo.

This guide covers one step of your move: telling RSS.com to forward your old feed to Pod Promo.

Do this after your episodes have finished importing into Pod Promo. Not there yet? Start with the full migration guide.

RSS.com’s redirect only works while you have an active paid subscription. If you cancel, the redirect stops. Plan to keep paying for 45–90 days after your move — then make sure Apple and Spotify point directly at your new feed before you cancel.

Before you start

  • Finish your import on Pod Promo and check that every episode made it.
  • Download your analytics from RSS.com. Stats don’t transfer between hosts.
  • Copy your new Pod Promo feed URL. It looks like https://podpromo.ai/your-show-slug/feed.xml — you’ll find it on your show’s Distribution page.

Set up the redirect

  1. Log in to your RSS.com dashboard and open the Settings tab.
  2. First, find Copy Protection and turn it off if it’s on. The redirect can’t be set while it’s active.
  3. Scroll to the Redirect section.
  4. Click +Activate.
  5. Paste your Pod Promo feed URL into the redirect field.
  6. Click Redirect.

The redirect takes effect immediately.

Setting the redirect does not cancel your RSS.com subscription — you’ll need to cancel billing separately later. But don’t do that yet (see below).

After the redirect is live

  • Check it worked. Paste your old RSS.com feed URL into a web browser. It should forward you to your Pod Promo feed.
  • Update the big directories by hand — this is extra important here. Because RSS.com’s redirect dies when you stop paying, Apple Podcasts, Spotify, YouTube Music, and Amazon Music must point directly at your Pod Promo feed before you cancel. The main migration guide shows you where to update each one.
  • Keep your subscription active for 45–90 days, per RSS.com’s own recommendation. Then verify the directories are on your new feed, and cancel.
  • Already canceled? Contact RSS.com support and ask them to enable the redirect for you.
