Submit to YouTube
Put your audio podcast on YouTube and YouTube Music using their RSS feed tool.

YouTube is now one of the most popular places people listen to podcasts. You do not need to make videos — YouTube can turn your existing audio feed into a podcast on your channel automatically.
How it works
- You give YouTube your RSS feed URL, once.
- YouTube creates a static video for each episode: your cover art on screen, your audio underneath.
- Every new episode you publish is uploaded to your channel automatically, and your subscribers get notified.
Your show appears in both regular YouTube and the YouTube Music app.
What you need
- A YouTube channel (free — create one with any Google account)
- Your show’s RSS feed URL — copy it from RSS & distribution in your dashboard
- At least one published episode (see the pre-submit checklist)
- Your Owner Email filled in — on your show’s Edit page, under Advanced Settings. YouTube sends its verification code to this address.
Step-by-step
- Go to YouTube Studio and sign in.
- Click Create in the top right, then choose New podcast.
- Choose Submit RSS feed and accept the terms.
- Paste your RSS feed URL.
- YouTube confirms you own the show by emailing a verification code to your show’s Owner Email. Enter it.
- Choose which existing episodes to bring over, and confirm.
Episodes take a little while to process — give it a few hours to a couple of days for the first batch.
YouTube’s RSS tool does not allow feeds that contain ads inserted into the audio. Pod Promo does not insert ads into your files, so a standard Pod Promo feed is fine — but if you bake sponsor reads into your episodes yourself, that is your content and allowed. The restriction is about dynamic ad insertion by hosts.
Good to know
- The videos are generated from your show cover art. Nothing to design or upload.
- Comments, likes, and YouTube search all work on these episodes like any other video.
- You manage the YouTube side (visibility, playlists, monetization eligibility) in YouTube Studio, same as any upload.
